Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the maintenance and servicing of Theatre HVAC systems at Appelsbosch Hospital over a period of six months. The scope includes conducting major and minor services to ensure the HVAC systems operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and meet the specified technical requirements.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Complete servicing of three Theatre HVAC units, including controllers, filters, and associated components, as per manufacturer specifications.
• Monthly minor services to three AHUs and controls, including filter replacements and system checks.
• Annual major service to the HVAC systems, including cleaning, inspection, and replacement of filters and other critical components.
• Provision of all materials, accessories, tools, and labor necessary for the execution of the services.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including site safety procedures and certification requirements.
• Preparation and submission of a full report on faults, repairs, and system status post-service.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Complete service of HVAC units as per manufacturer’s requirements, including controllers, filters, and HEPA filters.
• Replacement of filters: pleated, pocket, and HEPA filters with specified sizes (e.g., 600x600x50, 600x600x600).
• Inspection and servicing of controls and plant filters.
• Use of SAQCC registered technicians with CIDB grading EB/1ME.
• Provision of a Certificate of Compliance (COC) upon completion of electrical work.
• Adherence to South African standards and safety regulations during installation and servicing.
• Guarantee of workmanship and parts for a minimum of three months post-service.

Skills Requirements

The tender requires bidders to demonstrate:

• Experience in HVAC servicing, particularly in hospital or clinical environments.
• Registration with the South African Qualification and Certification Committee (SAQCC) for HVAC work.
• CIDB grading of at least EB/1ME for executing electrical and mechanical services.
• Qualified technicians with relevant electrical and mechanical certifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols applicable to hospital environments.
• Ability to provide detailed reports, certificates of compliance, and documentation as required.
