Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver eight quarterly pest control services for the Ortch, Alfred Ndzo, and Joe Gabi Business Units within the Eastern Cape, under the auspices of the NHLS Labs. The goal is to ensure effective pest management across these facilities, maintaining a hygienic and safe environment aligned with health standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of pest control services for the specified NHLS business units in the Eastern Cape, including:

• Quarterly pest control treatments at designated sites.
• Maintenance and ongoing pest management activities as per industry standards.
• Adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards (SAPCA and PCIPC).
• Provision of all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the completion of the services.

The services are to be delivered over a period of eight quarters, with specific locations and their respective areas detailed in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of pest control services in accordance with industry best practices and standards.
• Compliance with the South African Pest Control Industry regulations and professional councils (SAPCA and PCIPC).
• Submission of relevant licenses and registration certificates for pest control activities.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering similar pest control services within the last 3 years, supported by reference letters.
• Completion of the pricing schedule and submission of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Verification PIN.
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria, including price, specific goals, and compliance with mandatory requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified pest control technicians with relevant industry certifications and licenses.
• Experience in managing pest control operations in health-related or sensitive environments.
• Ability to prepare and implement pest management plans tailored to the specific needs of each site.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to pest control activities.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coordinating with NHLS staff.
• Capacity to provide ongoing supervision, documentation, and compliance reports.
