Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a contractor for Power Reticulation Maintenance at Bram Fischer International Airport for a period of 5 years. The aim is to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient power reticulation services throughout the contract duration, supporting airport operations and infrastructure.

Scope

The scope of work includes the maintenance of power reticulation systems at Bram Fischer International Airport. This encompasses routine inspections, repairs, servicing, and ensuring the integrity and safety of the electrical reticulation infrastructure as specified in the scope of work documentation. The contractor will be responsible for delivering ongoing maintenance services to support airport operations over the 5-year period.

Technical Requirements

• Adherence to the scope of work detailed in Part C3 of the tender documentation.
• Provision of a detailed maintenance plan, including schedules and methodologies.
• Compliance with safety, environmental, and occupational health standards as specified in Appendix 3.
• Provision of qualified key personnel with relevant experience and certifications.
• Availability of necessary plant and equipment for maintenance activities.
• Implementation of safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
• Submission of insurance policies and certificates as per Appendix 2.
• Participation in site inspections and clarification meetings as required.
• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to electrical maintenance and airport operations.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in power reticulation maintenance, demonstrated through reference letters and project completion certificates.
• Qualified personnel with relevant trade certificates, CVs, and certifications.
• Ability to develop and implement detailed maintenance and safety plans.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Capability to provide timely and effective maintenance services with minimal disruption to airport operations.
• Financial stability and compliance with tax and registration requirements, including CIDB registration of at least grade 3EP.
• Ability to supply and manage plant and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Understanding of and compliance with the requirements for confidentiality, non-disclosure, and safety management as outlined in the tender conditions.
