Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the removal and safe disposal of hazardous waste from JCPZ facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and environmental standards.

Scope

The scope includes the collection, transportation, and disposal of various hazardous waste streams generated at multiple JCPZ depots and facilities. The service provider must adhere to specified waste categories, record-keeping requirements, and safety standards as outlined in the specifications and annexures.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications in full.
• Provision of valid certificates such as COIDA, JV agreements (if applicable), and proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) specifications, including proper handling and disposal of waste streams listed in annexure 1.
• Accurate recording of hazardous waste types, quantities, and associated Rand values.
• Adherence to legal and regulatory requirements for hazardous waste management.
• Submission of all required administrative and compliance documents, including completed MBD forms and relevant certificates.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience in hazardous waste removal and disposal services.
• Valid COIDA certificate and compliance with SHEQ standards.
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid vendor number.
• Ability to provide detailed records of waste streams, tonnages, and disposal costs.
• Capacity to respond promptly to site visits and site-specific requirements.
• Knowledge of legal, safety, and environmental regulations related to hazardous waste management.
• Qualified personnel with appropriate training and certifications in hazardous waste handling.
