The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, install, and commission a range of smart metering equipment and accessories for Eskom Distribution Division. This includes the provision of smart meters, Data Concentrator Units (DCUs), Ready Board Retrofits, Access Covers, Ipcs, Pole Top Split Metering Kiosks, Secure Pole Mount DC Kiosks, Passive Base Units, Meter Seals, Padlocks, and all associated accessories. Additionally, the tender encompasses the decommissioning, scrapping, and disposal of existing meters to ensure a comprehensive upgrade of Eskom’s metering infrastructure.
The scope covers the procurement and deployment of various metering kiosks and related equipment manufactured from 3CR12 steel, suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications. It includes:
