Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver tool discs and sewer drain equipment to Johannesburg Water, ensuring quality, compliance with technical standards, and supporting the procurement of goods that meet the specified technical and social requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various tool discs and sewer drain rods as specified in the tender document, with quantities and specifications detailed in the procurement list. The contract covers the provision of approved items, including cutting discs and sewer rods, with an emphasis on sourcing from manufacturers that provide datasheets and brand information.

Technical Requirements

• All items must conform to relevant standards such as EN 12413 for cutting discs.
• Manufacture datasheets and brand names must be provided for all items; failure to do so will result in disqualification.
• Items must be new, approved, and compliant with technical specifications listed in the tender.
• Total quotation value must be inclusive of all applicable taxes.
• Specific items include steel cutting discs (230 x 3 x 22.23mm), masonry cutting discs, and sewer drain rods (8mm x 2 meters spring steel).

Skills and Supplier Requirements

• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide proof of registration.
• Suppliers should demonstrate compliance with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) 2022, including BBBEE certification or sworn affidavits supporting black ownership (51% or more).
• All quotations must be on company letterhead, signed by authorized personnel, and include brand names where required.
• Suppliers must submit all mandatory documents, including valid tax clearance certificates, BBBEE certificates or affidavits, municipal rates and taxes not older than 90 days, and completed MBD forms.
• Technical competence and ability to deliver within the specified timeframe are essential skills for successful bidders.
• Understanding of procurement policies, supply chain management, and compliance with legal and social requirements is necessary.
