Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure goods and services, specifically cotton wool and foil alum, in accordance with specified technical and quality standards, while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and promoting equitable participation through preference points for disadvantaged groups.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of:

• 50 rolls of hospital-grade, bleached, 100% cotton wool (500g), soft, fibrous, low-linting, individually packed.
• 50 rolls of commercial heavy-duty aluminum foil (70m x 440mm, 0.02mm thickness).

The goods are intended for medical and industrial use, with specifications detailed in the tender document.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Suppliers must provide detailed specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), or data sheets of the items.
• Evidence of compliance with quality standards and technical specifications is mandatory.
• Suppliers must demonstrate capacity to deliver the specified quantities within the required timeframe.
• Preference will be given to suppliers with valid BBBEE certificates showing black ownership (51%), women ownership (30%), or disability confirmation (doctor’s note or equivalent).
• All bidders must be registered on the government procurement portal and upload all required documentation with their bid.
• Compliance with the General Conditions of Contract (July 2010) and procurement policies is required.
