Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver disposable caesarean section drapes, including associated items such as clear incision film, fluid collection pouches, disposable gowns, baby blankets, hand towels, and back table covers, to Umphumulo Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of 500 packs of disposable caesarean section drapes with specified components, ensuring timely delivery to the hospital's Central Supply Chain Management section. The contract is for a once-off supply, with all items conforming to specified standards and specifications outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of caesarean section drapes pack with clear incision film and fluid collection pouch.
• Includes two disposable gowns, baby blanket, hand towels (x2), and back table cover.
• Items must meet the specifications detailed in the annexure, including size, color (sky blue), and material quality.
• All products must be compliant with SAHPRA certification and other relevant standards.
• Samples must be provided upon request for quality verification.
• Items must be delivered in packaging that prevents damage during transit.
• Delivery to be completed within the specified timeframe, with all documentation compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying medical consumables, particularly surgical drapes and related items.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards, including SAHPRA certification.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender.
• Capacity to deliver large quantities (500 packs) within the stipulated timeframe.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including B-BBEE certification and registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
