Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for repairing all steam leaks in the laundry at the Regional Laundry Cato Manor to ensure machine efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Scope

The scope includes the identification and repair of all steam leaks within the laundry facility, specifically targeting leaks on main lines, valves, pipes, dryers, ironers, and other related equipment as detailed in the specifications. The work covers all necessary repairs to restore optimal steam system performance in the laundry environment.

Technical Requirements

• Repair all identified steam leaks on main valves, pipes, and equipment such as tunnel washers, dryers, ironers, and conveyor belts.
• Compliance with the detailed specifications provided, including addressing leaks on specific equipment (e.g., dryer no.3 and no.4, tunnel washers A and B, ironers, and other identified points).
• Adherence to the specified CIDB grading of 1 ME or above.
• Participation in a compulsory site briefing scheduled for 06 August 2026 at 12h00.
• Completion of repairs in accordance with the attached specifications and standards.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified mechanical or plumbing expertise with CIDB contractor grading of 1ME or higher.
• Experience in steam leak detection and repair within laundry or similar industrial facilities.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and execute repairs to meet quality standards.
• Competence in working safely within a laundry environment, following health and safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills for site briefing and reporting.
