Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to facilitate the provision of First Aid Level 1 training specifically tailored for Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners, with a focus on paediatric first aid. The training aims to equip 30 ECD practitioners with essential first aid skills to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Facilitation of First Aid Level 1 training for 30 ECD practitioners (paediatric).
• Provision of accredited training programs with proof of accreditation.
• Delivery of training at Saldanha Bay Municipality premises.
• Provision of laminated certificates of competence upon successful completion.
• Inclusion of facilitator’s travel and accommodation costs within the quotation.
• Training to be valid until 30 October 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the training include:

• The training provider must be accredited to facilitate First Aid Level 1 training.
• Proof of accreditation for the training program must be submitted.
• The facilitator must have facilitated similar interventions at least 3 times previously, with proof via CV.
• Provide at least three written references of relevant experience.
• Pricing must be per person and include VAT.
• Certificates issued must be laminated and printed after training completion.
• Training will be conducted at the municipality’s premises.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Accreditation to deliver First Aid Level 1 training.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating paediatric first aid training, with at least three prior successful interventions.
• Ability to provide references and proof of previous relevant projects.
• Capability to deliver training that meets the specified accreditation standards.
• Provision of laminated certificates of competence post-training.
• Effective facilitation skills suitable for adult learners in a training environment.
