Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure after service repair for medical gases, plants, and points at Hlabisa Hospital. The service aims to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and maintenance of medical gas systems within the hospital to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing after service repairs on medical gas plants and outlets across various wards (Nursery, High Care, S Ward, H Ward, Maternity, Recovery, OT2, OT3, B Ward).
• Repair and replacement of medical gas outlets, brackets, cover plates, and housings.
• Replacements of oxygen banks, vacuum pumps, and alarm panels.
• Assessment and repair of faulty equipment such as vacuum pumps, alarm panels, and gas outlets.
• Providing necessary spare parts, including new housings, brackets, and other components.
• Reporting and documentation of repairs, including service reports, job cards, and invoices.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Service provider must hold a valid CIDB 2 ME contractor registration.
• Registered with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Provision of a letter of good standing and a valid medical gas technician card (SAQCC).
• Submission of previous completion certificates for similar services.
• Use of approved and certified medical gas outlets, housings, and components.
• Guarantee of 6 months on the completed service work.
• Adherence to specifications for repairs, replacements, and safety standards.
• Proper reporting, documentation, and invoicing procedures.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must possess:

• Qualified technicians with valid SAQCC medical gas cards.
• Technical expertise in repairing and replacing medical gas systems, outlets, and associated equipment.
• Experience in hospital maintenance, especially in medical gas systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately and perform repairs to meet safety and operational standards.
• Competence in documentation, reporting, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
