Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite quotations for the provision of various services and supplies to Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (BCMM). These include security guarding services at multiple locations, refurbishment of an ablution facility, catering and event support for VIPs, supply of construction materials, repairs and maintenance works, and procurement of personal protective clothing. The overarching goal is to ensure the municipality's operational needs are met efficiently and effectively within specified timeframes.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the following:

• Provision of unarmed security guarding services at specified BCMM locations for a period of 3 months.
• Refurbishment of the Argyle ablution facility.
• Supply and delivery of catering services, sound system, stage, podium, and tents for VIP events at Ebuhlanti.
• Supply and delivery of construction materials including water pressure pipes, bends, joints, fittings, water meters, and valves.
• Repairs and maintenance of gutters and downpipes at Jet Stores.
• Provision of unarmed security guarding services at Zwelitsha/Dimbaza/Hood Point and Potsdam Water Treatment.
• Supply and delivery of personal protective clothing for inland regions.

The activities are to be carried out at various specified locations within the municipality, with specific timelines and requirements for each service or supply.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the specifications provided for each service or supply, such as security standards, refurbishment standards, catering quality, and construction material specifications.
• Participation in briefing sessions where applicable (e.g., refurbishment of ablution facilities).
