Objectives

The primary objective is to procure a qualified service provider to perform preventive maintenance on two (2) Intaka oxygen generator compressors at Manguzi Hospital. The procurement ensures uninterrupted medical oxygen supply, maintains equipment reliability, and complies with provincial health department operational and safety standards.

Scope of Work

• Execute once-off preventive maintenance services for two oxygen generator compressor units.
• Perform all servicing on-site at Manguzi Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to restore optimal operational readiness.
• Complete all service obligations within the timeframe stipulated upon contract award.

Technical Requirements

• Maintenance must meet the CFAB MEC minimum grade specification.
• All work must align with applicable SABS quality standards and clinical environment safety protocols.
• Strict adherence to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical specifications is mandatory.
• Only OEM-approved procedures, diagnostic equipment, and genuine replacement components are permitted.
• Bidders must formally declare compliance with all advertised specifications; non-compliant offers will be rejected.
• Quotations must reflect firm pricing valid for ninety (90) days, inclusive of all logistics, labor, and incidental service costs.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• OEM Authorization: Bidders must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer or hold a valid, documented appointment as an authorized service agent for Intaka oxygen generators.
• Documentation: A certified letter of appointment from the OEM must accompany the quotation.
• Supplier Registration: Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with a verified tax compliance status.
• Performance History: Bidders must demonstrate a clean contractual track record; previous defaults without acceptable justification will result in disqualification.
• Socio-Economic Compliance: B-BBEE verification certificates or sworn affidavits are required if claiming preference points for 100% Black African ownership.
