MANDENI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR AN APPOINTMENT OF SERVICE PROVIDER TO DEVIATE AN
OVERHEAD MV LINE TO A 3-PHASE UNDERGROUND CABLE AND CONNECT TO MUNICIPAL MINI SUBSTATION.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1EP or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who are registered with CIDB in a contractor grading of 1EP or higher will be eligible to Bid. In
case of Partnership /Joint Venture a consolidated CIDB Registration Certificate meeting these requirements must be attached. Bidders
must have proof of CIDB Registration by the closing date failing which their Bid will be disqualified.
A non-refundable tender deposit of R450.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
The physical address for collection of bids documents is Mandeni Municipality’s Civic Centre, 2 Kingfisher Road, Mandeni Cashiers
Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of R450.00 (inclusive of VAT) (Debit Card, Cash or EFT: Ref no.: Bid No 26/24/25
Bidder’s Name). Bid documents will be available from Wednesday, 18th of June 2025 to Tuesday, 1st of July 2025 during working
hours Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 15h30. bidders who opt to pay via EFT may request the Municipal bank account details from the
Manager SCM. See email below.
A compulsory clarification meeting with the representative of the Employer will take place at the DLTC Building, No. 2 Croton Place on
Wednesday, 2 July 2025. The starting time is 10h00 thereafter proceeding to site. Failure to attend compulsory clarification meeting
with the Bid document will disqualify the tender. The doors to the venue will be closed at 10h00 and no bidder will be permitted to enter
afterwards. Bidders that do not bring the document to the briefing will be disqualified.
Bid are to be completed in accordance with the conditions attached to the Bid document and must be sealed in an envelope and
marked: “BID NO.: 26/24/25 AN APPOINTMENT OF SERVICE PROVIDER TO DEVIATE AN OVERHEAD MV LINE TO A 3-PHASE
UNDERGROUND CABLE AND CONNECT TO MUNICIPAL MINI SUBSTATION and must be deposited in the tender box situated at
the reception: Civic Centre, 2 Kingfisher Road, Mandeni no later than 12H00, on 09 July 2025 at which time bids will be opened in
public. Closing time will only be determined by the Municipal watch displayed on the Municipal wall at the reception. The name and
address of the Bidder must be clearly written on the sealed envelope containing the Bid Document. Late submission, e-mail or fax bids
will under no circumstances be considered. Only bidders registered on Central Supply Database (CSD) will be considered.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at DLTC Building at No. 2 Croton Place on 02
July 2025 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
