Objectives

The primary objectives of the tender are to execute the rehabilitation of Avenue Road in Ward 3, including various construction, reinstatement, and infrastructure upgrades. Specific aims include traffic accommodation, earthworks, drainage, paving, signage, and safety measures, ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational health standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses a comprehensive range of construction activities and related services, including:

• Community liaison and stakeholder engagement
• Exposing, protection, relocation, and reinstatement of overhead and underground utilities (power lines, telecom, water lines)
• Traffic management and accommodation during construction
• Earthworks, including excavation, backfilling, and spoil removal
• Construction of drainage systems, culverts, and V drains
• Pavement construction with gravel layers, asphalt surfacing, and concrete linings
• Installation of kerbings, channeling, and road markings
• Provision of signage, safety equipment, and traffic control devices
• Environmental management and occupational health and safety compliance
• Provision of site offices, laboratories, and personnel facilities
• Testing, inspection, and project management activities

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Use of approved materials such as uPVC pipes, concrete, gabions, and asphalt as specified
• Implementation of earthworks to specified densities and compaction standards
• Installation of drainage systems, culverts, and associated structures per detailed drawings
• Construction of pavements with specified layers and compaction rates
