Scope of Work

The project covers the complete refurbishment of the existing bulk water supply tank. This includes structural inspection and repairs, waterproofing, internal lining, replacement of associated mechanical and electrical fittings, pressure testing, and commissioning. The contractor will be responsible for all labour, materials, plant, equipment, site establishment, health and safety compliance, and final handover to the employer.

Technical Requirements

  • CIDB Contractor Grading: Minimum 1ME or higher.
  • Regional Presence: A registered office and workshop must be situated within the Western Cape province.
  • Tax Compliance: Must be compliant with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) at the tender closing deadline.
  • Compulsory Site Meeting: Attendance is mandatory on 18 September 2026 at 11h30 at the Beaufort West Hospital Workshop Building. Late arrivals will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Documentation Handling: Tenderers must print the official tender package, inclusive of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications, and bring physical copies to the site meeting.
  • Submission Rules: Tenders must be completed using the official government tender documentation. Email submissions and late deliveries will not be accepted.

Required competencies include structural rehabilitation, waterproofing system application, mechanical and electrical integration, project scheduling, quality assurance, and strict adherence to occupational health and safety legislation. Demonstrated experience in hospital or critical facility water system upgrades is strongly indicated.

Joint Ventures, Consortia and Subcontracting:

Most large tenders are composed of tasks in a number of different fields, and it is not always possible for a single company to cater for all of them, and therefore Joint Ventures and Consortia are formed to then submit a tender together.

Government tenders are also requiring the subcontracting of a percentage of the tender work, and the trouble is then finding Subcontractors to comply with the tender requirements

To assist companies with finding tender partners and subcontractors, you can now submit your contact details and company information on this page, so other interested parties can contact you for purposes of forming Joint Ventures and subcontracting

You will need to supply your details on every tender you are interested in tendering for. For this you need an active Business Listing - Register and Login at My Account to create a Business Listing

NOTE: This is not a tender application form, it is meant to facilitate the meeting of partners to form a Joint Venture or Subcontractor relationship for this tender only
