Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider(s) to deliver comprehensive security services for Northdene & Lorraine Flats and CC Klaasen over a period of two months. The successful bidder will be responsible for safeguarding premises, assets, and personnel through various security measures including patrols, monitoring, and response to criminal activities, ensuring safety and security compliance.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of security personnel for day and night shifts at specified sites.
• Deployment of security officers equipped with specified service aids (batons, radios, torches, handcuffs, metal detectors, etc.).
• Regular patrols and monitoring to prevent criminal offences.
• Management of security resources including vehicles, uniforms, and communication devices.
• Adherence to specified working hours (06:00 to 18:00 for day shift and 18:00 to 06:00 for night shift, including weekends and public holidays).
• Implementation of security protocols and reporting procedures.
• Meeting all technical and compliance requirements as specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for bidders include:

• Registration and compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA), including valid certificates with Grade A or B grading for security officers and directors.
• Registration with the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (NBCPSS), including valid certificates and letters of good standing.
• Provision of a physical operational office within the Eastern Cape with contact details.
• Availability of trained and qualified security personnel with a minimum of 12 months industry experience, supported by certified testimonials.
• Provision of necessary equipment such as radios, uniforms, vehicles, and security aids.
• Proof of valid public liability insurance (minimum R2,000,000.00).
• Demonstration of financial stability through bank ratings and submission of relevant financial documents.
• Compliance with legislated wage rates as per NBCPSS pricing structure and other relevant legislation.
• Availability of at least one branded vehicle registered under the company or director’s name.
• Participation in in loco inspections and verification of submitted information.
