Following registration on the CSD, potential service providers must also register on the Western Cape Supplier Evidence Bank. CapeNature maintains a dual registration process that requires its suppliers to register on both the CSD and the Western Cape Supplier Evidence Bank (provincial database) for procurement via the eProcurement System (ePS), also known as the Integrated Procurement Solution (IPS).
The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a Specialist Service Provider (SSP) to compile pre-Draft Regulations and species lists under section 81 of the Western Cape Biodiversity Act (WCBA). This process aims to facilitate the effective implementation of the Act by engaging stakeholders, developing draft regulations, and ensuring regulatory instruments are aligned with legislative requirements, including giving effect to section 49 of the WCBA.
