GEORGE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR ELECTRICAL SUPPLY TO PACALTSDORP MICRO ENTERPRISE
FACILITY ON ERF 8538
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3EP or higher.
Only tenderers who
1. The Tenderer must be registered with the Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL) as an Electrical Contractor. The
registration must remain valid throughout the duration of the contract. A valid proof of registration must be submitted with tender on
closing date.
2. A Tenderer that has successfully completed at least one similar project as defined in the specification in the last seven years.
To prove compliance with this condition:
•The Tenderer must provide one (1) contactable Referee.
•The Referee must relate to one (1) successfully completed project in the last 5 years.
•The reference project must be for the supply, installation and commissioning of an underground low voltage electrical reticulation
network. The project must have a minimum project value of R1 million, incl VAT.
•The Tenderer must arrange for the Referee to complete the Schedule of Reference for Tenderer as per Part T2.2.12
•A Certificate of Practical Completion or Certificate of Completion signed by the Employer’s Agent for the project referenced, must be
submitted with the tender document.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R500.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Tenderers are required to arrange for tender documents at least 2 days in advance.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Conference Hall, George Municipality, 71 York
Street, George, 6530 on 27 March 2026 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
