Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to refurbish the Gouna Pumpstation in Knysna as part of the Emergency Bulk Water Supply Project. The project aims to enhance the reliability and capacity of the water supply infrastructure to meet emergency water demands effectively.

Scope

The scope of work includes the refurbishment of the Gouna Pumpstation, involving technical upgrades and repairs necessary to improve its operational efficiency. The project is part of the broader Emergency Bulk Water Supply Project in Knysna, focusing on ensuring a resilient water supply system.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of qualified and experienced contractors capable of executing refurbishment works at the Gouna Pumpstation.
• Minimum CIDB Designation of 2ME or higher.
• Adherence to bid submission procedures, including sealed bids, marking, and submission in specified formats (original, copy, and USB).
• Functionality scoring with a minimum of 35 out of 50 points to qualify for further evaluation.
• Evaluation based on the 80/20 preference points system, considering price and preference criteria.
• Compliance with all bid submission, sealing, and assessment procedures as detailed in the tender documents.

• Qualified and experienced contractors with expertise in water infrastructure refurbishment projects.
