Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the installation of a Stutterheim Gate in the ADM owned Engineering Building, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and municipal requirements.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Demolition of existing fencing and removal of damaged poles, wire strands, netting wire, and old gate.
• Removal of damaged concrete poles, trees, and other obstructions.
• Excavation for gate posts and channels.
• Installation of galvanized corner and stabilizer posts with concrete foundations.
• Welding and fixing of welded mesh fencing and approved fencing materials.
• Installation of a 2100mm x 6000mm gate with a concealed pedestrian gate, covered as per drawings.
• Final fencing, gate installation, and site cleanup.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Contractor registration with CIDB grading GB1 or higher.
• Attendance at a compulsory site briefing.
• Adherence to specifications outlined in the Bill of Quantities and scope of work.
• Compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental standards.
• Use of approved fencing materials such as ClearVu or similar.
• Proper excavation, concrete work, and welding procedures.
• Completion within the stipulated timeframe of 30 days.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in fencing and gate installation projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Qualified personnel with skills in welding, concrete work, and fencing installation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including occupational health and safety standards.
• Registration and compliance with CIDB grading requirements.
• Capacity to coordinate site activities and ensure timely project delivery.
