Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of flanged gate valves to the Clanwilliam Wastewater Department, ensuring the provision of specified valves that meet technical and quality standards within the stipulated timeframe and budget.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of the following items to the Clanwilliam Wastewater Department:

• 200mm Diameter Flanged RSV 3 Gate Valve with Capot PN 16
• 150mm Diameter Flanged RSV 1 Gate Valve with Capot PN 16
• Garden Hose Pipe 6JR 20mm, 30m length with fittings
• Brass Padlock 50mm

The delivery address is De Villier Street, Clanwilliam, with a lead time of 7 days after receipt of the purchase order.

Technical Requirements

The items supplied must adhere to the following specifications:

• Valves must be 200mm and 150mm diameter, flanged, with PN 16 pressure rating, and specific lengths (310mm or 292mm for the larger, 267mm or 280mm for the smaller).
• Garden hoses should be 20mm diameter, 30m length, with appropriate fittings.
• All items must comply with the specifications detailed in Annexure A attached to the tender documents.
• Items must be new, unused, and incorporate recent design improvements.
• Valves must be capable of withstanding rough handling and environmental conditions during transit and storage.

Skills and Competency Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and valid tax clearance.
• Compliance with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and related regulations.
• Ability to deliver specified goods within the stipulated lead time.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including B-BBEE status level verification, municipal accounts, and tax compliance certificates.
• Experience in supplying and delivering similar industrial valves and related equipment.
• Capacity to provide after-sales support, technical assistance, and warranty services.
