Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of supplying and delivering a septic tank to the Clanwilliam Technical Department, ensuring the provision of a suitable and compliant product within specified timeframes and regulatory requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a 1000L septic tank to the Clanwilliam Technical Department, including all associated logistics, documentation, and compliance with municipal and procurement policies. The delivery address is De Villiers Street, Clanwilliam, with a lead time of 7 days after receipt of the purchase order.

Technical Requirements

• The septic tank must be a new, unused, and current model, incorporating recent design and material improvements.
• The tank must meet the specifications outlined in the procurement documents, including capacity (1000L) and durability standards.
• All packaging must prevent damage during transit, withstand handling and environmental conditions, and be compliant with special packaging instructions.
• Delivery must be completed within 7 days of receiving the purchase order.
• All documentation, including invoices, must be submitted electronically to designated municipal email addresses.
• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide valid tax clearance certificates and relevant MBD documentation.
• Warranty provisions include a 12-month defect liability period from the date of acceptance at the final destination.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering septic tanks or similar infrastructure components.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement policies, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022.
• Ability to provide technical documentation, installation support, and after-sales service if required.
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with active tax compliance status.
• Capability to meet quality standards, including compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Competence in completing and submitting all required documentation, including MBD forms, declaration of interest, and preference claim forms.
