BREEDE VALLEY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRICAL PRE-PAYMENT METERS
AND THE REMOVAL OF ILLEGAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOR A PERIOD ENDING 30 JUNE 2028
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6EB or higher.
Only tenderers who
1) Who are registered with the Employment Labor Department as an Electrical Contractor in terms of the Occupational Health and
Safety Act 1993: Electrical Installation Regulation Registration 6(4) (proof of registration to be submitted with tender);
2) Who complies with the Compensation of Occupational Injuries and Disease Act (COIDA) (proof (letter of good standing) to be
submitted with tender).
Joint Ventures are eligible to submit tenders provided that:
a) every member of the joint venture is registered with an active status with the CIDB;
b)the lead partner has a contractor grading designation of not lower than one level
below the required grading designation in the EB or higher class of construction
work; and
c) the combined contractor grading designation calculated in accordance with the
Construction Industry Development Regulations is equal to or higher than a
contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for
a EB class of construction work or a value determined in accordance with Regulation
25 (1B) or 25 (7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R230.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Interested contractors can collect bid documents from the Supply Chain Management Offices, 51B Baring Street, Worcester.
Documents are to be collected as from Friday, 21 February 2025 during office hours Mondays to Fridays 08h00 – 13h00 and 13h30 15h00. A non-refundable fee of R 230-00 (Two Hundred and Thirty Rand) for each set of documents, payable by cash deposits and/or
EFTs is required on collection of the bid documents. Please note, the R230 is only payable if you collect the documents in hard copy
from our offices. Documents are also electronically available upon request, free of charge, as the printing costs are for the bidder’s own
account.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at SCM boardroom, Supply Chain Building, 51B
Baring Street, Worcester. on 06 March 2025 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
