NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DURBAN INVITES TENDERS FOR SERVICE, REPAIR AND / OR REPLACEMENT
OF FIRE EQUIPMENT FOR A PERIOD OF 03 MONTHS
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1SF or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who should have a CIDB Contractor grading designation of 1 SF or Higher
Only tenderers who Tender to be awarded to the highest scoring acceptance tender. Points will be allocated for:
(a) Price and Preference points scoring system applicable is 80/20: according to formula in PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(b) It is compulsory that service providers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database.
(c) Bidder to take note of requirements in PA:16 for allocation of points for specific goal in terms of PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(d) Bidding companies must provide proof that their employed technicians or artisans are qualified and experienced in fire related
maintenance/repair services.The submission of valid trade test (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or Millwright).
(e)The Department reserves the right not to appoint if a bidder has been awarded 2 or more contracts of similar nature within the
NDPWI in the last six months, for equity & fair distribution of work amongst service providers.
(f) Bidders are required to submit references from previous clients, including contact details and a brief overview of the services
provided. Proof of past experience and successful completion of similar projects must be included in the form of a letter of award and a
completion certificate for evaluation.
(g) Bidder to submit a valid certified copy of SAQCC card for technician (FIRE RELATED) employed by the bidding company.
