Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the construction, refurbishment, and maintenance of various portfolio buildings, including facilities such as WPS (Water Purification Stations), WWTW (Waste Water Treatment Works), pump stations, libraries, and other utility and community infrastructure across multiple locations. The aim is to ensure the delivery of quality structures that meet specified technical and safety standards, supporting operational efficiency and community needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the construction, alteration, refurbishment, and maintenance of a wide range of buildings and structures, including:

• Constructed brick/mortar buildings (various sizes)
• Concrete and metal sheet buildings
• Small enclosures and control rooms
• Pump stations and booster stations
• Libraries, community halls, and multipurpose centers
• Sewage pump stations and sewer infrastructure
• Water treatment works and associated facilities
• Roof structures and steel sheeting
• Alterations and upgrades to existing facilities

The locations span across Knysna, Sedgefield, Rheenendal, and surrounding areas, with specific facilities detailed in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Construction of structures using specified materials such as brick/mortar, concrete, and metal sheeting
• Adherence to design specifications, including size, wall and roof types, and area measurements
• Implementation of structural modifications and upgrades as specified
• Installation of associated infrastructure such as MCC rooms, control rooms, and enclosures
• Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Provision of detailed documentation, including drawings and technical reports
• Coordination with existing utilities and infrastructure
• Ensuring minimal disruption during construction activities

Skills Requirements
