Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite qualified and compliant contractors to undertake various infrastructure projects within Dr JS Moroka Municipality. These projects include construction, renovation, and upgrading of community halls, bus and taxi routes, sewer reticulation, house electrification, and stadium upgrades, aimed at improving community facilities and services.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses the following projects:

• Replacement of asbestos bulk line from WWTW to Bloedfontein reservoir phase
• Construction of Katjibane bus and taxi route Phase-5
• Construction of Mmametlake bus and taxi route Phase-4
• Construction of Loding bus and taxi route
• Construction of Thabana Sewer outfall, reticulation, and house connection Phase 4
• Electrification of Ga-Phaahla Community Hall in Phake Phase 2B
• Electrification of Ga-Phaahla Community Hall in Madubaduba Phase 1
• Upgrading of Ga-Phaahla Community Hall, Nokaneng stadium Phase 2

Technical Requirements

All tenderers must:

• Be in good standing with the South African Revenue Services (SARS)
• Possess the necessary experience and technical capacity to execute the projects
• Submit separate sealed envelopes for tender documents and supporting documents, clearly marked with project numbers and descriptions
• Attend compulsory briefing sessions scheduled at specified times and locations
• Comply with CIDB grading requirements specified for each project
• Ensure tender submissions are valid for 90 days from the closing date

Skills Requirements

The successful bidders should demonstrate:

• Proven experience in construction, infrastructure development, and project management
• Technical expertise relevant to the specific projects (e.g., civil, electrical, plumbing)
• Ability to adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Capacity to meet project timelines and deliverables
• Competence in handling procurement and contractual obligations in line with municipal policies
