MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY, MANUFACTURING, DELIVERY AND
INSTALLATION OF GENERAL STEELWORKS AND FITTINGS TO THE MOSSEL BAY MUNICIPALITY FOR THE 1 JULY 2026 TO
30 JUNE 2029.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3ME or higher.
A non-refundable tender deposit of R264.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Tenders must be submitted on the original documents and remain valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days after the closing date of
the tender.
ALL BIDDERS, including ALL THE PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE MUST BE CIDB REGISTERED AND ATTEND THIS
COMPULSORY MEETING.
BIDDERS (including all partners of a Joint Venture) WHO DID NOT ATTEND THE COMPULSORY INFORMATION MEETING AND
SUBMIT A BID, WILL BE SEEN AS SUBMITTING A NON-RESPONSIVE BID.
A set of tender documents can be obtained at a non-refundable cost of R264.00 per set from Ms Juanita Schutte who may be contacted
at telephone (044) 606-5198 or e-mail at [email protected] OR it can be obtained on our website at
www.mosselbay.gov.za free of charge. If you require a hard copy of the tender document, payments must be made at the cashiers at
the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Main Building, 101 Marsh Street on the Lower Ground Floor (seaside) or EFT (Banking details and
Reference Nr can be obtained from [email protected]),
bids that score less than 70 out of 100 points will be considered as non-responsive:
Functionality criteria and weight:
1.Company (or JV) Experience carrying a weight of 30 points.
2.References Related to that experience carrying a weight of 15 points.
3.
Key staff and personnel allocated for this tender carrying a weight of 20 points.
4. Vehicle carrying a weight of 10 points.
5. Fully functional equipped workshop carrying a weight of 25 points.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Directorate: Infrastructure Services offices,
Infrastructure Services Boardroom, George Road, Mossel Bay. on 12 November 2025 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
