Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a 6-month cleaning contract for Meerensee Clinic, ensuring hygienic and infection-free environments through reliable cleaning services, personnel, and cleaning materials. The contract aims to provide continuous, high-quality cleaning operations aligned with health standards and departmental policies.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of cleaning services at Meerensee Clinic for a period of six months, including:

• Deployment of 4 personnel dedicated to cleaning duties
• Provision of cleaning materials and equipment
• Cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas, including wards, consulting rooms, general areas, and waste removal
• Adherence to specified cleaning standards and infection control policies
• Provision of reactive cleaning services such as spill response and equipment cleaning
• Compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental standards

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify the standards and procedures to ensure effective cleaning services, including:

• Personnel: 4 trained cleaning staff with proof of infection control training and vaccination against Hepatitis
• Cleaning Materials & Equipment: All necessary cleaning tools, chemicals, and protective clothing to be supplied by the contractor, conforming to departmental specifications
• Service Standards: Adherence to the Ngwelezana Hospital’s Service Standards and Infection Control Policies, including high dusting, cleaning of fixtures, waste management, and window cleaning
• Operational Hours: Daily cleaning with specified access times, including reactive spill cleaning within 10-20 minutes of notification
• Supervision & Liaison: Regular communication with clinic management and infection control officers to ensure compliance and quality
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintenance of cleaning logs, incident reports, and proof of training and compliance
