Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to deliver a 3-day Costing and Pricing Training program aimed at empowering 20 SMMEs (Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises) that are part of the structured SMME Support Programme implemented by Knysna Municipality for the 2025/26 financial year. The training aims to equip participants with essential skills in costing, pricing decisions, profit management, and related areas to enhance their business capabilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Design and deliver a comprehensive 3-day training course on Costing and Pricing tailored for SMMEs.
• Training beneficiaries are 20 selected SMMEs involved in the Municipality’s support program.
• The training should cover key learning areas such as decision-making in costing, profit calculations, and pricing strategies.
• Provide proof of previous relevant training experience through reference letters.
• Ensure training materials and certification of attendance are provided.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Development of training content aligned with the objectives and scope.
• Provision of certificates of attendance to participants.
• Submission of reference letters for previous similar training conducted.
• Adherence to the specified budget ceiling of R300,000 (excluding VAT).
• Completion of all compulsory documentation, including tax compliance, B-BBEE status, and company registration details.
• Participation in an optional information session (if scheduled).

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in delivering costing and pricing training, evidenced by reference letters.
• Expertise in adult training methodologies and capacity to tailor content for SMMEs.
• Strong understanding of business costing, pricing strategies, and profit management.
• Ability to develop engaging training materials and facilitate interactive sessions.
• Compliance with all administrative and legal requirements, including tax clearance, BBBEE, and municipal registration.
