Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply approximately 1,600 m³ of high-quality, well-graded, silty sand or fine aggregate fill material that meets SANS 3001 (AG1) standards, for use at Worcester Cemetery. The supplier is expected to deliver the material within 14 working days of receiving an official order from Breede Valley Municipality.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of about 1,600 m³ of specified fill material to the Worcester Cemetery.
• The material must conform to grading specifications: 88% passing through 0.075 mm to 2.0 mm sieve size, with 0% passing above 2.0 mm.
• Provision of certification such as SANS 3001 (AG1), recent lab grading reports, and technical data sheets.
• Adherence to technical and quality standards specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Material must meet grading specifications: 88% passing through 0.075 mm to 2.0 mm sieve.
• Certification of compliance with SANS 3001 (AG1) standards.
• Provision of recent laboratory grading reports (within 6 months).
• Delivery within 14 working days from official purchase order.
• Pricing must be inclusive of all applicable taxes and costs.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Capability to supply the specified quality of fill material meeting SANS standards.
• Provision of relevant certification and technical documentation.
• Experience in supplying similar construction or fill materials to municipal or public sector clients.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to material handling and delivery.
• Ability to deliver within the stipulated timeframe of 14 working days.
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and compliant with tax and BBBEE requirements.
