Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite qualified suppliers to supply and deliver folding nose trolleys and storage box containers to Umgeni Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, in accordance with specified technical and quality standards. The process aims to ensure procurement of quality goods that meet the hospital's operational needs while adhering to departmental policies on preference and compliance.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and potential technical support for:

• Supply and delivery of 3 units of folding nose trolleys
• Supply and delivery of 10 units of heavy-duty storage box containers (150L, with lid and wheels, black color)

The procurement is a once-off contract with a validity period of 90 days from the advertisement date, with delivery to be completed within the specified delivery period. The goods must conform to the attached detailed specifications and standards.

Technical Requirements

The goods must meet the following technical specifications:

• Folding nose trolley with industrial quality, solid rubber wheels, electroplated finish, and fold-up design
• Heavy-duty tote/storage boxes of 150L capacity, with lid and wheels, in black color
• Compliance with the detailed specifications attached in Annexure A
• Samples may be required for inspection and must conform to the specifications
• Items must be new, unused, and of the latest models with all recent design improvements

All goods must conform to the relevant South African standards (S.A.N.S./S.A.B.S.) and the detailed specifications provided by the hospital.

Skills Requirements

While the tender primarily focuses on the supply of goods, bidders should demonstrate:

• Capability to supply and deliver the specified items within the stipulated timeframe
• Experience in supplying hospital or similar institutional equipment, supported by references
• Understanding of quality standards and compliance with technical specifications
• Ability to provide samples for inspection and technical support if required
