Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider capable of supplying and delivering planting materials to facilities at NHLS Sandringham Campus. The aim is to ensure the procurement of specified planting materials in accordance with the requirements outlined in the RFQ, supporting the NHLS's operational and landscaping needs.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a range of specified planting materials, including various species such as Salvia, Osteospermum, Azalea, Tulbaghia, Clivia, Zantedeschia, Plectranthus, Aloe, Delospermum, and Pansy.
• Delivery of these materials to NHLS Sandringham Campus facilities.
• Completion of the procurement process in accordance with the specifications, pricing, and contractual conditions outlined in the RFQ documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of specified planting materials as detailed in the specifications (e.g., quantities, sizes, and types).
• Adherence to quality standards and specifications for each plant type.
• Provision of a detailed pricing schedule, including unit costs, VAT, and total costs.
• Compliance with delivery timelines and conditions specified in the RFQ.
• Submission of all required documentation, including signed forms, tax compliance certificates, and B-BBEE certificates.
• Compliance with the general conditions of contract and procurement policies.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required from the service provider include:

• Experience in supplying and delivering planting materials or similar horticultural products.
• Knowledge of plant species, quality standards, and horticultural practices.
• Ability to meet specified delivery schedules and handle logistics effectively.
• Capacity to complete administrative and compliance documentation accurately and promptly.
• Understanding of procurement processes and contractual obligations.
• Ability to provide technical support or advice related to planting materials, if required.
