Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply safety shoes (safety boots) for the South African Veterinary Pavilion (SAVP) at NHLS Sandringham Campus. The aim is to ensure the provision of appropriate safety footwear that meets specified standards and requirements for staff or personnel involved in relevant activities at the facility.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of safety shoes in specified sizes and quantities, specifically:

• Glider Safety Shoe or equivalent in sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
• Total of 23 safety shoes as per the specified sizes and quantities.

The scope also encompasses adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and timely delivery to NHLS Sandringham Campus.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of safety shoes that are equivalent to the Glider Safety Shoe or approved equivalent.
• Sizes required: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
• Quantity per size as specified: sizes 3 (3 units), 4 (2 units), 5 (2 units), 6 (2 units), 7 (5 units), 8 (5 units), 9 (2 units), 10 (2 units).
• Items must meet safety standards and be suitable for occupational safety requirements.
• All branded items should be equivalent to the specified model or approved alternative.
• Pricing must be firm, fixed, and inclusive of all costs, excluding VAT, unless specified otherwise.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Proven experience in supplying safety footwear or related safety equipment.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and adhere to contractual obligations.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including tax compliance and B-BBEE requirements.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as valid Tax Clearance Certificates, B-BBEE certificates, and relevant declarations.
• Demonstrated ability to handle procurement, logistics, and delivery processes efficiently.
