Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the servicing and maintenance of the MPCC Back-Up Generator to ensure its reliable operation and longevity.

Scope

The scope includes comprehensive servicing and maintenance of the MPCC Back-Up Generator, covering tasks such as oil and filter replacements, inspection of electrical and mechanical components, cleaning, and testing to ensure optimal performance. The specification details specific tasks like replacing filters, inspecting belts, hoses, electrical connections, and testing the battery and charging system.

Technical Requirements

• Replace engine oil with OEM or specified 15W-40 oil
• Replace oil, fuel, and air filters
• Inspect and replace belts, hoses, and clamps as necessary
• Inspect electrical connections including alternator, starter, and control panel
• Clean canopy and vents
• Inspect and replace injectors if needed
• Test and inspect the battery and charging system
• Inspect fuel tank and lines for leaks or blockages
• Inspect turbocharger for oil leaks
• Inspect engine mounts and replace if necessary
• Thorough cleaning of the cooling system and replace coolant with long-life type
• Inspect fuel filters, injectors, turbocharger, and engine mounts
• Ensure all work is carried out by qualified mechanical/millwright tradespersons

Skills Requirements

Service providers must have personnel with:

• Mechanical or Millwright trade test certification
• Experience in generator servicing and maintenance
• Ability to perform detailed inspections, replacements, and testing as specified
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems associated with generators
• Capability to ensure quality assurance and compliance with technical standards
