Objectives

The primary objective of the tender is to procure services and materials for the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality's Waste Education Programme. The programme aims to address issues related to illegal dumping, promote recycling initiatives, raise awareness about environmental degradation, and foster sustainable development within the municipal area.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of waste education activities and related logistics.
• Supplying catering services for programme events (e.g., lunch packs).
• Provision of bottled still water.
• Supply and installation of waste recycling bin stations with frames for source separation.
• Branded vinyl stickers for wheelie bins with municipal colours and logos.
• Installation of Chromadek boards with signage at various schools, including mounting and branding.

The programme covers multiple locations, including schools and community areas, with specific items and branding specifications as detailed in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of 240L double-hinged recycling bins with frames, branded with municipal colours and logos.
• Vinyl stickers for waste bins, featuring the municipal logo, slogan "KEEP MBIZANA CLEAN," and appropriate size (A3).
• Chromadek boards with steel poles for signage, mounted at specified schools, with the inscription "RECYCLING STATION" and slogans promoting waste separation and cleanliness.
• Installation of signage using concrete and steel poles, with illustrations of waste types and municipal branding.
• Provision of catering and bottled water for programme activities.

All items must meet the specifications provided, including branding, size, and durability standards, and installation must be carried out at designated locations.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in waste management and recycling infrastructure supply and installation.
• Capability to produce branded signage and stickers according to municipal branding standards.
• Ability to coordinate logistics for catering, water supply, and distribution of recycling bins.
• Technical competence in installing signage and waste stations at multiple sites, including schools.
• Compliance with municipal procurement policies, including submission of mandatory documents and adherence to technical specifications.

Additionally, bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database, and demonstrate capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and quality standards.
