Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure after-service repair for ventilation equipment at Hlabisa Hospital, ensuring the ventilation systems are maintained and operational.

Scope

The scope includes providing after-service repairs for ventilation systems across various hospital departments, including maintenance of ventilators, exhaust fans, and related components. The work involves inspection, repair, replacement of faulty parts, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications. The service covers multiple locations within Hlabisa Hospital such as TB wards, laundry, and kitchen areas.

Technical Requirements

• Companies must hold a valid CIDB 1ME contractor registration.
• Compliance with the Department of Health’s specifications and standards for ventilation systems.
• Provision of detailed repair services including replacement of fans, starters, rusted components, and other faulty parts.
• Submission of relevant documents such as good standing certificates, public liability insurance (minimum R3,000,000), and previous work completion certificates.
• Adherence to safety, quality, and reporting standards, including submission of signed schedules, invoices, and handover documentation.
• Reporting at designated maintenance sites and completing relevant registers for payment processing.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified artisans with relevant certifications and experience in ventilation system repairs.
• Personnel must possess artisan certificates for on-site duties.
• Ability to diagnose faults, replace components, and ensure systems meet specified standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including public liability insurance requirements.
