Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified and accredited service provider to deliver Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator services for the Chemical Operations Learnership at Mangosuthu University of Technology. The service provider will develop and implement a comprehensive learner development program, ensuring quality training, assessment, moderation, and workplace experience in line with curriculum and accreditation standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing learner development services for 15 learners at NQF levels 3 and 4.
• Developing and submitting detailed training implementation plans covering learning schedules, methodologies, assessment, moderation, learner support, workplace placement, and reporting.
• Delivering training aligned with curriculum, qualification rules, and quality assurance requirements.
• Maintaining records of assessments, moderation, and learner progress.
• Ensuring workplace experience agreements and delivery where applicable.
• Providing ongoing learner support and monitoring.
• Submitting progress and final reports, including assessments, moderation, and workplace exposure outcomes.
• Facilitating integrated summative assessments and liaising with quality assurance bodies to ensure compliance.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Be accredited by CHIETA and/or QCTO.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training and assessment plan.
• Ensure assessments and moderation are conducted according to quality assurance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessments, moderation, and workplace experience.
• Provide learner support and workplace experience arrangements.
• Submit midterm and closeout reports with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with quality assurance bodies for final assessments and certification.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant curriculum, qualification, and quality standards.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must possess:

• Relevant accreditation and certification (CHIETA and/or QCTO).
• Experience in delivering chemical operations or similar learnerships.
• Proven track record in facilitating, assessing, and moderating learnerships or training programs.
• Ability to develop detailed training and assessment plans.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and workplace-based training.
• Capability to monitor learner progress and provide support.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with workplaces and quality assurance bodies for assessments and certification.
