Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an annual service for cleaning of Jojo tanks in clinics, ensuring proper maintenance, disinfection, and safety compliance to provide clean water storage in health facilities.

Scope

The scope includes providing a comprehensive annual cleaning service for Jojo tanks across multiple clinics in the Ladysmith region. This involves draining tanks, removing silt, disinfecting, cleaning valves, refilling tanks, and placing chlorine tablets, with adherence to safety regulations. The service covers tanks at various clinics with specified quantities and locations, as detailed in the specifications and site lists.

Technical Requirements

• Drain tanks completely and safely into designated areas.
• Remove all solid silt and debris from tanks.
• Disinfect tanks thoroughly, scrubbing walls and ceilings.
• Clean and remove all solid silt from tanks.
• Clean out all ball valves and ensure they are in correct positions.
• Flush tanks with clean water to remove disinfectant residues.
• Use biocide to disinfect tanks effectively.
• Refill tanks with water and place chlorine tablets in each tank.
• Ensure all valves are left in correct operational positions.
• Comply with safety regulations, including working at heights above 2 meters with appropriate equipment.
• Provide service schedule and detailed documentation as per specifications.
