Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an annual service for the medical air compressors at Bethesda Hospital, including major and minor servicing schedules, to ensure optimal operation and prolong equipment lifespan.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Performing major and minor services on medical air compressors (Make: CPM 7) and associated equipment (dryers, filters, etc.) as per attached specifications.
• Servicing scheduled for specific dates: 30 April 2026 (Major Service), 30 August 2026 (Minor Service), and 30 December 2026 (Minor Service).
• Providing all necessary materials, parts, labor, and ancillary services required for the maintenance of the specified equipment.
• Submitting detailed reports, job cards, and signed inspection documents post-service.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Registered electrical/mechanical contractor on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Valid tax clearance, CIDB Mechanical/Electrical registration, and B-BBEE certification.
• Compliance with the attached specifications for major and minor services, including specific equipment details (e.g., CPM 7 Atlas Copco compressors, model EN286/1Ed.2008).
• Provision of detailed service reports, signed job cards, and adherence to scheduled maintenance intervals.
• Use of approved and certified materials and parts, with proof of compliance (SABS/SANS approval).
• Submission of reports per machine to the ART/Chief or Foreman, with signed job cards and inspection records.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must possess:

• Qualified electrical and mechanical technicians with experience in servicing medical air compressors and related equipment.
• Competence in performing major and minor maintenance tasks as per manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive service reports, job cards, and maintenance documentation.
• Knowledge of safety standards, compliance regulations, and quality assurance procedures relevant to hospital equipment servicing.
• Proficiency in handling proprietary and spare parts, with proper documentation and compliance with specifications.
