Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a competent and experienced service provider to install and configure Darktrace email solution software for Bergrivier Municipality, ensuring effective email security and protection as specified in the project scope.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Delivering, installing, and configuring Darktrace email software or similar solutions.
• Conducting an architecture workshop to define and verify scope, gather protection requirements, prerequisites, limitations, and constraints.
• Configuring email setup, authentication, and demonstrating Darktrace operations and dashboards.
• Integrating with Microsoft 365 (M365), including syncing, policy configuration, and protection setup.
• Providing an overview of reporting capabilities and recovery processes.
• Conducting a project conclusion session for review, documentation, and sign-off.
• Completing the work before 25 June 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Installation and configuration of Darktrace email software or equivalent.
• Authorization by the software vendor to sell, install, and maintain the software.
• Certified personnel with relevant expertise to install and maintain the solution.
• Configuration of email protection, dashboards, and Microsoft 365 integration.
• Provision of training and documentation.
• Provision of a 12-month subscription for 165 Microsoft Office 365 users.
• Adherence to specifications outlined in the project scope and specifications document.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must possess:

• Authorized certification from the software vendor for installation and maintenance.
• Certified technical personnel with proven experience in deploying and configuring email security solutions.
• Ability to conduct workshops, system integration, and demonstrate operational dashboards.
• Capability to provide training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 integration and security configuration.
