Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for the supply and delivery of solar packs. These solar packs are intended to provide basic electricity supply for lighting and cell-phone charging in households without grid connection, thereby improving access to essential energy services.

Scope

The scope of the project includes:

• Supply and delivery of solar packs comprising specific components such as 50W solar panels, power units, lighting kits, and cellphone charging units.
• The solar packs must support a minimum of 16 hours of charging and provide at least 7 hours of nighttime lighting.
• The package must include the following minimum components:
  • 50W Solar Panel
  • Power Unit (Starter-Brick)
  • Lighting Kit (LED Lights)
  • Cellphone Charging capability

Technical Requirements

The supplied equipment must meet the following technical specifications:

• Solar Panel: Minimum 50W capacity, compliant with relevant standards.
• Power Unit: Capable of supporting at least 16 hours of charging support.
• Lighting Kit: LED lighting with a minimum runtime of 7 hours during nighttime.
• Warranty:
  • Solar Panels: Minimum 10-year warranty
  • Batteries/Power Units: Minimum 2-year warranty
  • LED Lights: Minimum 1-year warranty

The equipment must comply with applicable standards and be accompanied by proof of warranty from the manufacturer.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and delivering solar energy systems or similar renewable energy solutions.
• Technical expertise in solar technology, including installation, maintenance, and warranty support.
• Ability to meet the technical specifications and warranty requirements specified in the tender.
• Capacity to provide after-sales support and warranty services for the supplied equipment.
• Compliance with procurement policies and relevant regulations, including tax and supply chain management standards.
