Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) Sets to support accredited BLS training, improve resuscitation outcomes, and ensure the availability of standardized training materials aligned with current guidelines.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of approximately 1800 sets of BLS training materials, comprising manuals, pocket masks, and electronic course completion cards, to the Regional Training Centre at Northdale Hospital. The procurement covers the full set of training materials as specified, with a once-off contract period, and adherence to the detailed specifications provided.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of 1800 sets of BLS training materials, including:
  • Original American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers manual, 2025 version
  • eCard (digital course completion certificate)
  • Pocket mask for ventilations in a hard plastic case
• Materials must meet the specified quality standards and conform to the detailed specifications, including size, color, and content.
• Delivery to the designated address at the Regional Training Centre, Northdale Hospital, within the contractual timeframe.
• Compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and evaluation criteria outlined in the tender documents.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying medical training materials and equipment.
• Ability to meet the technical specifications and quality standards specified in the tender.
• Capacity to deliver the required quantities within the stipulated timeframe.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards, and familiarity with the specifications of accredited BLS training materials.
• Demonstrated compliance with procurement policies, including preference and BBBEE requirements.
• Capability to provide necessary documentation, including certificates of quality, compliance, and relevant registration details.
