Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure chairs and tables for Osindweni Hospital under the Department of Health in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement aims to fulfill the hospital's requirements for office, tearoom, visitor, and dining furniture, ensuring standard specifications, quality, and compliance with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various types of chairs and tables, specifically:

• Office high-back swivel and tilt chairs
• Tearoom chairs and tables
• Visitor's chairs
• Wooden office desks
• Tearoom tables

The items must meet detailed specifications, including size, material, colour, weight load, and durability, as specified in the annexure forms. Delivery is to be made to Osindisweni Hospital, with the quote submissions and technical compliance verified accordingly.

Technical Requirements

• All furniture must conform to the specifications provided, including size, colour, material, and quality standards.
• Specific items include high-back swivel chairs with fabric upholstery, tearoom chairs and tables, visitor chairs, and office desks with lockable drawers.
• Materials should be durable, heavy-duty, and suitable for hospital and office environments.
• Items must be compliant with SABS or SANS standards, where applicable.
• Furniture must be delivered in proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• All items must be new, unused, and of the latest models, with warranties as specified.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Capability to supply furniture that meets detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Experience in supplying hospital or office furniture, evidenced by previous contracts or references.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points for Black Persons with Disabilities (20 points allocated).
• Provision of valid documentation such as CIPC registration, tax clearance, and CSD compliance.
• Ability to deliver within the specified contract period and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (SABS/SANS) and quality assurance processes.
