Objectives

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of 20 units of Citric Acid Anhydrous (500g each).
• Adherence to specified technical specifications such as assay, residue on ignition, chloride, iron, and heavy metals content.
• Compliance with government procurement policies and supplier registration requirements.
• Evaluation based on price, preference points, and BBBEE status.
• Submission of necessary documentation including CSD reports, certificates, and samples.

Technical Requirements

The supplier must provide Citric Acid Anhydrous with the following specifications:

• Assay: 99.5%
• Residue on Ignition: 0.05%
• Chloride (Cl): 0.002%
• Iron (Fe): 0.001%
• Heavy Metals (Pb): 0.001%

Additional requirements include:

• Active registration on CSD with a report not older than 2 months.
• Provision of a Data Sheet, Specification, Certificate of Analysis (COA), and catalogue.
• Submission of a sample for testing prior to RFQ closing.
• Compliance with government procurement conditions and all relevant standards.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying pharmaceutical or chemical products of similar nature.
• Ability to provide valid BBBEE certificates and preference points documentation.
• Capability to meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax compliance and supplier registration.
• Provision of proof of previous supply of similar products within the last 24 months.
