Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the cleaning of steel tanks at St Chads Community Health Centre (CHC). The aim is to ensure the tanks are properly cleaned, disinfected, and maintained to meet health and safety standards, thereby supporting the provision of safe water storage and supply within the facility.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Cleaning of two steel tanks at St Chads CHC, with capacities of 180,000 liters each.
• Removal of debris and sand from inside the tanks.
• Application of disinfectants to eliminate bacteria and algae.
• Physical scrubbing of tank walls and floors to remove stubborn contaminants.
• Adding water treatment solutions such as chlorine tablets.
• Provision of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete the cleaning process.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the cleaning service include:

• Use of disinfectants to kill bacteria and algae.
• Physical scrubbing of tank walls and floors to remove contaminants.
• Application of water treatment solutions (e.g., chlorine tablets).
• Adherence to safety and quality standards, including compliance with specified standards and specifications.
• Provision of a completion certificate for similar work previously undertaken.
• Compliance with CIDB grading of 1ME or above.
• Delivery within 7 days of order receipt.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• CIDB grading of 1ME or higher, indicating capability and experience in similar works.
• Qualified personnel with experience in tank cleaning, disinfection, and water treatment.
• Ability to provide a valid completion certificate for similar projects.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to tank cleaning and water sanitation.
• Capacity to mobilize equipment and labor efficiently within the stipulated timeframe.
