Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the collection and recycling of waste materials, specifically papers, boxes, plastics, and other recyclables, at Gamalakhe CHC. The aim is to ensure proper waste management, recycling, and environmental compliance over a contract period of 24 months.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of waste collection services for all waste papers, cardboard boxes, and plastics from Gamalakhe CHC and associated clinics.
• Flattening of cardboard boxes prior to collection.
• Provision of waste collection vehicles with specified features (marked, enclosed, etc.).
• Weighing of collected waste using portable scales and issuing official weigh notes.
• Disposal of confidential documents as per specified methods.
• Compliance with environmental and waste management regulations, including registration with relevant bodies.
• Adherence to safety and uniform standards for personnel involved in waste collection.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Contract duration of 24 months.
• Provision of marked waste collection vehicles with enclosed tops and sides.
• Use of portable scales for weighing waste before leaving the premises.
• Uniforms for employees, clearly marked with the contractor’s name and contact details, including safety boots, leather gloves, face masks, and other safety gear.
• Proper disposal methods for confidential documents, with destruction certificates issued upon disposal.
• Weekly or as-required collection schedule.
• Issuance of official weigh notes for each collection visit.
• Proof of registration with environmental and waste management bodies.
