Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably accredited service provider to deliver a National Certificate: Construction Roadworks NQF 2 aligned with SAQA ID 24173. The program aims to equip participants with skills related to health and safety, site preparation, record keeping, quantity calculation, first aid, procurement, reading construction drawings, understanding construction processes, process control testing, hazardous materials handling, confined space work, material identification, and roadside safety procedures.

Scope

The scope involves the provision of training for 35 employees from the Public Works department, divided into two groups of 11 and one group of 13. The training must be completed within 12 months and delivered in English. The program includes facilitation, case studies, role plays, and practical exercises to ensure competency. The service provider must hold valid SETA accreditation and provide certified proof of accreditation along with the bid. The training covers theoretical and practical components, with a focus on competency development in civil construction roadworks.

Technical Requirements

• Delivery of the accredited Occupationally Directed Program: National Certificate: Construction Roadworks NQF 2 (SAQA ID 24173).
• Training to be conducted in English and completed within 12 months.
• Program content aligned with specified learning outcomes, including health and safety, site preparation, record keeping, and other construction skills.
• Provision of training materials, stationery, and all costs included in the unit rate.
• Certification of delegates upon successful completion.
• Submission of a certified SETA accreditation certificate with the bid.
• Pricing to include all costs, VAT, and a detailed invoice.
• Implementation of a Service Level Agreement with the Municipality.
