Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure adult cot beds that meet specified standards and specifications for use at St Marys Marianhill Hospital, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of adult cot beds, including delivery to the specified hospital address. It covers the provision of beds that conform to detailed specifications, including size, material, and safety features. The procurement process involves submission of quotations, compliance with technical and administrative requirements, and adherence to delivery timelines.

Technical Requirements

• Strong metal frame (stainless steel or aluminum) with smooth edges and rounded corners, supporting standard adult mattresses and patient weights between 0-150 kg.
• Lockable wheels for mobility and stability.
• Release levers or control buttons on side rails for safety and ease of use.
• Adjustable incline feature for sitting or lying positions.
• Compliance with specified size, color, and material standards.
• Must support the detailed specifications outlined in the annexure, including quality standards and safety features.

Skills Requirements

• Ability to prepare and submit compliant quotations using official forms and documentation.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 and the Department’s general and special conditions of contract.
• Capability to demonstrate compliance with technical specifications through brochures, samples, or detailed descriptions.
• Knowledge of delivery procedures, including timely submission of quotations, adherence to site visit requirements, and proper packaging and documentation.
• Proficiency in completing disclosure and declaration forms accurately, including Bidder’s Disclosure (SBD4) and Preference Points Claim Forms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with procurement officials and technical representatives regarding specifications, delivery, and compliance queries.
