Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the cutting of trees at Centane Home Affairs, ensuring safe and efficient removal of specified trees in accordance with the project scope and technical requirements.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Cutting and disposal of two large trees with diameters ranging from 301mm to 600mm.
• Site clearance involving vegetation, grass, shrubs, and weeds over an area of approximately 59.42 m².
• Site cleanup and waste disposal at approved dumping sites.
• Adherence to safety, environmental, and operational standards as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Use of trained chain saw operators certified to a minimum standard of N3 “Forest Engineering South Africa” or equivalent arboriculture training.
• Implementation of approved methodology for tree cutting, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding structures and environment.
• Provision of proof of public liability insurance, occupational health and safety compliance, and necessary permits prior to commencement.
• Carrying out work with extreme care due to proximity to buildings and fences, with liability for damages.
• Site clearance, waste removal, and disposal in accordance with legal and environmental standards.
• Compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including ACT 85 of 1993.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified and experienced tree cutting operators with relevant certification.
• Project management skills to develop and execute work schedules and methodologies.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed work plans, safety procedures, and environmental management plans.
• Proven track record in similar tree removal projects, demonstrating technical competence and safety compliance.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with project officials and compliance documentation.
